For over 70 years, 72 in fact, a medieval Italian broadsword was lost to the world until now. Know as the Harriet Dean sword, it was one of few remaining swords that was once a part of the Alexandria arsenal. Consequently, it makes sense that the public was quite amazed once the sword resurfaced since it disappeared in 1943. The sword was identified by Howard Dixon in a Texas restaurant when he noticed the Arabic inscription that matched a sword that had been in a private collection for over 70 years.
